What is ReGen?

Sun Power Electric offers businesses and residents a way to support green energy through its Tradable Renewable Certificate (TRC) product ReGen. Whether or not your state has restructured the electric utility industry, consumers can now shop around and choose to purchase clean energy certificate products like ReGen.

ReGen is Green-e certified, consisting of renewable resources such as landfill gas and solar energy. Your purchase of ReGen’s renewable certificates supports renewable electricity production in Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island. You will continue to receive a separate bill from your utility. For every unit of renewable energy generated, an equivalent amount of renewable certificates are produced. The purchase of these certificates helps offset conventional electricity generation in the regions where our renewable generators are located. The purchase also helps build a market for renewable electricity and may have other local and global environmental benefits such as reducing global climate change and regional air pollution.

Purchase ReGen

ReGen can be purchased in blocks, each equal to 2,000 kWh of renewable certificates, or roughly 20% of an average household’s annual energy use. Each ReGen block costs just $72 a year ($6 a month). That’s about as much as one lunch out each month. What a cheap price tag for cleaner air! You may purchase blocks with a simple, one-time annual payment of $72, or with four installments of $18, paid quarterly. Purchase as many blocks as you wish.
