Renewable Energy Regulatory Information

This section of our web site is dedicated to providing useful information and background about the policy and regulatory climate for small scale renewable distributed generation or solar power in Massachusetts. These documents have been created under the " Renewable Energy Barriers" project, a multi-year effort to support the development of policies and market mechanisms that allow solar power to receive full value in the market place. This project is funded by the Solar Energy Business Association of New England (SEBANE) through a grant from the Massachusetts Technologic Collaborative (MTC). To learn more about the solar renewable energy certificate (REC) market in New England download the new Renewable Generator Certificate Trading Handbook. The Solar Energy Business Association of New England (SEBANE) developed the handbook with help from members of the CSG Renewable's team and with financial support from the Renewable Energy Trust.
